Doncaster, England's 1909 First Aviation Races Great Northern Railway (GNR) Poster produced for the Great Northern Railway (GNR) promoting the first aviation meeting held in England at the Doncaster Racecourse in South Yorkshire from October 15 to 23, 1909. The meeting took place at the same time as a rival event in Blackpool. Although the Blackpool event had the official support of the Royal Aero Club, a number of prominent aviators chose to participate in the Doncaster week, including Samuel Cody and Leon Delagrange.
