PERELLE family (17th century) Versailles, The Water Theater Engraving enhanced with watercolor Unsigned On BFK Rives vellum 32.5 x 44 cm INFORMATION: This family of artists, centered around Gabriel, the father, and his sons Adam and Nicolas, produced a considerable number of engravings, mostly of their own invention. Imbued with many influences, whether Nordic, Italian or Parisian, they feature a wide variety of subjects: pastorals, seascapes, landscapes with classical architecture in ruins or picturesque villages, or topographical landscapes. Very good condition, minor handling defects on one leaf.
