Auguste RODIN (1840-1917)(after) Centaur abducting a woman, 1897 Heliogravure, drypoint (Atelier Goupil) Unsigned Limited edition of 125 unnumbered copies On wove paper 42.5 x 31 cm INFORMATION: This engraving is part of "Album Fenaille" or "Album Goupil", a work devoted to Auguste Rodin's drawings, published in 1897. It includes a majority of drawings related to Dante's Inferno, generally referred to as "black drawings". A copy of this precious album can be found in the archives of the Musée Rodin. Very good condition, with light freckling and minor edge defects.
