Salvador DALI (1904-1989) The Scythian Philosopher, 1966 Original etching Signed in the plate On wove paper 51.5 x 38 cm REFERENCES : - Field catalog raisonné #67-3 - Michler and Lopsinger catalog raisonné #1159 INFORMATION : Solicited by the Red Cross to help rebuild Venice, Dali created this etching, which was later reproduced as a lithograph in the portfolio "Les vingt fables" (The Twenty Fables), sold in aid of the Association. Only a few copies of the engraving were printed, intended for the publisher, Dali and his close friends. Rare proof from the publisher's collection. Very good condition, leaf edges slightly yellowed.
