Henri MATISSE (1869-1954) Costumes for l'Etrange Farandole, 1954 Lithograph and stencil (Atelier Nourisson et Monnier) Signed in the plate On paper 13 x 19 cm INFORMATION: Stencil produced in 1954 from a costume design painted by Matisse for the ballet "L'Etrange Farandole" (music by Dmitri Shostakovich) staged by the Opéra de Monaco to choreography by Léonide Massine at the Palais de Chaillot, Paris, on June 5, 1939.
