Doncaster England's First Aviation Races - Lot 731

Doncaster England's First Aviation Races Poster produced for the Great Northern Railway (GNR) promoting the first aviation meeting held in England at Doncaster Racecourse, South Yorkshire from October 15 to 23, 1909. The meeting was held at the same time as a rival event in Blackpool. Although the Blackpool event had the official backing of the Royal aero Club, a number of prominent aviators chose to take part in Doncaster week, including Samuel Cody and Leon Delagrange.
