Maurice Herzog Victoire Annapurna - Rozan Chocolate Made in the Pyrenees
Maurice Herzog led the French expedition to Annapurna in 1950, which was popularized in France by the front page of Paris Match, Marcel Ichac's film Victoire sur l'Annapurna and Maurice Herzog's book Annapurna, premier 8000, in which he recounts his ascent. This best-selling book has since been the subject of controversy, revolving mainly around Maurice Herzog's self-appointed role. Louis Lachenal presents a different account of the expedition in his Carnets du vertige / The French expedition to the Annapurna.
