Dany Robin Lux Toilet Soap ° The Lux bar of soap was introduced in 1925 in the United States, where it was elevated to the status of “beauty soap” thanks to the addition of vegetable oils. Three years later, it arrived in Europe.In 1928, the J. Walter Thompson advertising agency developed the advertising strategy that would become the brand’s signature: A campaign claimed that, of the 359 stars in Hollywood, 329 used Lux, with Greta Garbo as the only notable exception. She would never give in to Lux’s entreaties. At the time, being chosen by Lux represented a crowning achievement for the chosen one—a sort of advertising confirmation of her star status. After the war, to relaunch the brand, Lux sponsored a program on Radio Luxembourg: the Festival Lux. / The Lux soap appeared in 1925 in the United States, where it was elevated to the status of “beauty soap” through the addition of vegetable oils.
