A first site was opened in 1871, at 10 montée des Carmélites in Lyon's 1st arrondissement. In the early 1920s, a new factory was built on rue Sully and at the corner of rue Vendôme. It specialized in the manufacture of top-quality pasta products (Diploma of Honor and Gold Medal in 1878). In 1953, the company's name was changed to Hartaut Ghiglione et Scaramelli, Société générale des pâtes alimentaires de France, a public limited company with capital of 200 million francs. This company joined the Régia-Scaramelli-Panzani pasta factory at 5, rue Duquesne. The buildings were then sold to the French Ministry of Education and converted into a secondary school, which opened in 1958 under the name Collège Vendôme, after the street. The factory appears at this address in business directories from 1922 to 1962. Panzani's current head office is located at 4, rue Boileau in Lyon 6th arrondissement / The General Society of Pasta Foods of France Hartaut Ghiglione, is the oldest of France: it is founded in 1804.
