Serge LIFAR (1905-1986) Dancing Tree, circa 1970 Original ink and pencil drawing Signed lower right On paper 24 x 15.5 cm PROVENANCE: This drawing comes from the personal collection of Pierre Lhoste. A radio journalist, Pierre Lhoste (1913-1984) asked the personalities he interviewed to sign an autograph accompanied by a drawing of a tree, thus creating a unique record of his interviews. INFORMATION: Serge Lifar was a naturalized French Ukrainian dancer and choreographer. He was notably ballet master at the Paris Opera. Very good condition, edges slightly damaged and yellowed.
