Jacques BLIN
Jacques BLIN (1920 - 1995) Glazed ceramic lamp stand with hemmed neck and incised decoration of birds and gallinaceans. Signed "JBLIN" under the base H. 27,5 cm NOTES: French ceramist of the second half of the 20th century, Jacques Blin opened his ceramics workshop in the 1950s and would be recognized in national and international exhibitions with numerous awards. Blin's production is very diverse, but the artist has invented a style that is recognizable among all. He creates almost naïve decorations, treated with his technique known as "scarification" (a freehand engraving on dry clay) on pieces with vaporous or parietal materials. Two characteristics that can be found in this lamp base, which can be reassembled with electricity, or exhibited as is for its aesthetic qualities.
